Vector Marketing Fights Hunger

We All Have A Stake In Easing Hunger

Tonight nine million Americans will go to bed hungry.

Maybe it’s the little boy next door or the elderly lady across the street. Sadly, it could be a friend or someone in your family counted among those millions. You want to help, but what can you do?

Thankfully, just by being part of the Alcas family you are helping.

In January 2002 Cutco / Vector Marketing launched a five-year, $1 million campaign of support for Share Our Strength (SOS), a national anti-hunger organization.

Over the last year we have provided $360,000 in support to SOS. That help has taken the shape of:

Product sales
  • A portion of the sales of CUTCO Ultimate, Homemaker and Galley sets benefit SOS.
Promotions
  • Over 340 adults and children used CUTCO Trimmers and Cutting Boards at 27 Operation Frontline Side-By-Side classes across the country. The classes teach healthy eating to families in need. Graduates were also given a Trimmer.
  • Galley Plus Six Sets were auctioned off at SOS Taste of the Nation events in 26 U.S. and four Canadian cities.
Thanks to last year’s successes Cutco and Share Our Strength are able to hit the ground running in 2003 in the push to help ease the hunger problem. Through these efforts we expect to be $480,000 closer to our million-dollar goal by the end of the year.

Together with Share Our Strength, Cutco / Vector Marketing continues to cut into the hunger problem. Each day gets us closer to our $1 million goal and taking more Americans off the hunger rolls.
